Our Story
The journey of bringing authentic Nigerian flavors to San Antonio.
From Lagos to San Antonio
Lagos Buka was born in 2020 from a simple yet powerful vision: to bring the vibrant, authentic flavors of Nigerian cuisine to the heart of San Antonio. Our founder, raised in the bustling markets and kitchens of Lagos, Nigeria, dreamed of sharing the rich culinary heritage of West Africa with a new community.
What started as a small pop-up serving traditional jollof rice and suya skewers quickly grew into something much larger. Word spread about our authentic flavors, generous portions, and the warmth of Nigerian hospitality. San Antonio embraced us, and we embraced San Antonio right back.
Today, Lagos Buka stands as a bridge between two culinary worlds — Nigerian tradition and Mediterranean comfort, unified by a passion for bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and the belief that great food brings people together.
